Print quality

The Creality K1 Max can print layers with heights ranging from 100 to 350 microns. The upgraded Z-axis offers more accurate positioning and effectively reduces Z-banding that provides remarkably subtle texture. Also, the machine is equipped with a G-sensor built into the printhead that measures the resonance frequencies of high-speed printing. This allows the K1 Max to mitigate potential print quality issues, such as ringing and ghosting.

The key feature of the K1 series is its stunning print speed up to 600 mm/s that overcomes currently existing barriers. With 32 mm³/s flow rate ensuring consistent filament extrusion and powerful dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, the printer significantly cuts printing time and uses less energy for the same output being an eco-friendly solution. Moreover, with 20000 mm/s² acceleration, the machine ramps up to its full speed in only 0.03 s, delivering maximum performance for 90% of the work.

Due to a unibody die-cast aluminum alloy frame, the machine provides increased stability and durability. In combination with the nimble CoreXY with a lightweight printhead of only 190 g, it is able to withstand high-speed motion inertia, which makes for failure-free steady printing for many hours.

To further improve the printer’s time-efficiency, the hotend of the K1 Max model is able to reach 200 °C in just 40 seconds and melts the filament instantly. The aluminum alloy heatbed spreads heat uniformly and can quickly heat up to 60 °C in 90 seconds. Thanks to its finely frosted surface, the platform provides outstanding adhesion and deformation-free first layer as well as quick and hassle-free print removal. The motion advance function delivers the optimal feeding flow, which effectively reduces blobs and oozes.

The K1 Max 3D printer comes with a dual-fan configuration. It consists of a large fan on the printhead that cools the model directly and an 18W auxiliary fan in the build chamber to enhance the cooling effect. Thus, the model hardens before any stringing or warping could happen, which allows support-free bridges and overhangs. In addition, the built-in air filters will purify unhealthy compounds generated during the printing process making it more pleasant.

Due to an array of strain sensors integrated in the heatbed, the K1 Max is able to generate an accurate leveling mesh. Most importantly, the whole process is automated and does not require user involvement: it happens on its own after the printing starts. The integrated AI LiDAR module provides an ideal first layer.

Being a user-friendly and self-sufficient device, the Creality K1 Max 3D printer can self-test the extruder, heatbed, camera, fan, leveling, and other parameters with a single tap. If any abnormality is detected, it will be shown on the display. So, one can proceed to printing without a hitch.

The Creality K1 Max features impressive material compatibility. Thanks to its advanced heating capacity, the machine can successfully print with a wide range of filaments, from regular to engineering ones, ensuring high dimension accuracy and surface quality.

The full list includes ABS, PLA, PETG, PET, TPU, PA, ASA, PC, PLA-CF, PA-CF, and PET-CF. This variability allows the user to choose the most appropriate material for any specific purpose.

Build volume

The Creality K1 Max 3D printer offers a capacious build area of 11.8 x 11.8 x 11.8 inches (300 x 300 x 300 mm) that lets you produce a single large model or a wide variety of small-to-medium sized prints in batches without the need of splitting them, which makes for time-saving and increased productivity.

Printer controls and software

The Creality K1 Max 3D printer features a 4.3″ color touchscreen with a clear menu structure and intuitive interface. Data input is performed via USB drive, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi. Furthermore, with a network connection, the printer can be controlled or monitored remotely from Creality Print or Creality Cloud APP/WEB software, with a cluster control option available. In case of print completion or any issues, an instant notice will be sent to the user’s phone or PC.

The company’s proprietary programs, such as Creality Print and Creality Cloud App, feature advanced practicality and ease of use. They work with STL, OBJ, and 3MF file formats and cover all the essential aspects of the printing process, such as searching, uploading, importing, editing models, setting printing and slicing parameters, and more. The latest Creality Print 4.3 version comes with multiple presets for high-speed printing and streamlines the slicing process into three simple steps to ensure a smooth 3D printing experience. Apart from self-developed software, the K1 Max 3D printer supports such popular slicing software as Cura, Simplify3D, and PrusaSlicer.

The Creality K1 Max 3D printer is available in black with metallic gray trimmings. The uniform aluminum alloy frame in combination with ergonomic design and sleek styling make it a perfect fit for any interior, professional or private.

The printer dimensions are 17.1 x 18.1 x 20.7 in (435 x 462 x 526 mm). It weighs approximately 40 lbs (18 kg). The spool is mounted inside the machine.
